True Assist Home Care is funded by Kadiatou Barry, a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), and caregiver with over 18 years of experience in New York City and Westchester County. As I got to know my clients, I learned that caregiving creates a beautiful and unique bond with the person you are caring for. I also realized that there are many more reasons to be a caregiver. Caregiving helps us foster a deeper sense of gratitude for kindness, compassion, and love. Working one-on-one with someone who needs your help and support can be very fulfilling, and it sharpens your people skills. I always treat my clients as if they were my family—with honor, respect, and dignity. Throughout those years, I have worked in different settings: hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and primarily in clients’ own homes, where they can regain independence while enjoying the company of their loved ones in the comfort of their own home.
